About our walks programme

Southwell Ramblers walks programme is published each year in December and runs from January to the following December. There is a walk on alternate Sundays throughout the year in Nottinghamshire or the adjoining counties. The length of walks usually ranges between six to ten miles. Most walks are "Leisurely" or "Moderate", with just a few categorised as "Strenuous".

In the interests of safety the Group does not allow dogs on any walks.

The Group meets in Church Street car park in Southwell at 9.00 am on Sundays, and car sharing is arranged to ensure the minimum number of cars are used to travel to the start of the walk. Any walkers wishing to make their own way to the start of the walk must inform the walk leader in case there are last minute changes to the arrangements.

In June, July and August there is a short local walk of around four miles on alternate Friday evenings when we meet at Church Street car park in Southwell at 7.00 pm. These walks usually finish at a local pub for a sociable drink.
